Bernardo is the Portuguese form of Bernard, from Germanic elements usually glossed as 'bear' and 'brave' or 'strong' - roughly 'bold as a bear.'
Why this moment matters
Some of the most soothing bedtime rituals aren't rituals at all - they're just the ordinary hum of a fan a child has learned to trust.
The story behind this song
The ceiling fan turns slow circles overhead on a warm night, stirring the air just enough to carry him off to sleep.
A bedtime song with a name in it
A slow lullaby built around one child's name: a good night song for bedtime, nap time and the last song of the day.
