Timofey is the Russian form of Timothy, from the Greek Timotheos, usually translated as 'honoring God.'
Why this moment matters
A cradle worn smooth by every baby who rocked in it before is carrying more family history than it looks like it is.
The story behind this song
The old wooden cradle still rocks exactly the way it always has, worn smooth by every baby who came before him.
A bedtime song with a name in it
A slow lullaby built around one child's name: a good night song for bedtime, nap time and the last song of the day.
