Where the name comes from

Louise is the feminine form of Louis, sharing its Germanic root usually translated as 'famous warrior' or 'renowned in battle.'

Why this moment matters

An open window on a warm summer night is such a simple thing, and yet it's exactly the kind of detail that makes a bedtime memory specific instead of generic.

The story behind this song

The window stays open to the summer night, the curtain lifting now and then in a breeze just cool enough for sleep.

A bedtime song with a name in it

A slow lullaby built around one child's name: a good night song for bedtime, nap time and the last song of the day.
