Where the name comes from

Hugo comes from the Germanic element hug, meaning 'mind,' 'spirit,' or 'thought' - it spread widely across Europe from the early medieval period onward.

Why this moment matters

A rocking chair that's soothed every baby in a family carries more history in its creak than most family heirlooms.

The story behind this song

Grandmother's rocking chair creaks its familiar rhythm, the same one that has soothed every baby in the family before him.

A bedtime song with a name in it

A slow lullaby built around one child's name: a good night song for bedtime, nap time and the last song of the day.
