Where the name comes from

Ksenia comes from the Greek xenia, meaning 'hospitality,' itself from xenos, 'stranger' or 'guest' - historically sometimes glossed as 'the hospitable one' or, more loosely, 'foreigner.'

Why this moment matters

Songs sung at a family house in the countryside tend to outlive the house itself in everyone's memory.

The story behind this song

At the dacha in the evening, grandmother sings the old songs, and the whole porch hums quietly along.
