Where the name comes from

Varvara is the Russian form of Barbara, from the Greek barbaros - originally simply meaning 'foreign' or 'non-Greek-speaking,' the root that later gave English the word 'barbarian.'

Why this moment matters

A grandparent's knee has been bouncing babies for about as long as knees and babies have coexisted, and it still works every time.

The story behind this song

She bounces happily on grandfather's knee, squealing louder with every little dip and rise.
