Personalize this songWhere the name comes from
Louis comes from the old Germanic Chlodovech (the root behind Ludwig too), usually translated as 'famous warrior' or 'renowned in battle.'
Why this moment matters
A table that somehow always has room for one more chair says something true about a family, long before anyone sits down to eat.
The story behind this song
The whole family crowds around the long table, and there is always, somehow, exactly enough room for one more chair.
