Where the name comes from

Archie is a pet form of Archibald, the friendly short version that has become a popular name on its own.

Why this moment matters

Peeling a banana alone is one of a toddler's first proud bits of independence - a small job, finished without help, with a snack as the reward.

The story behind this song

At the breakfast table Archie takes a banana in both hands and peels it strip by strip, all by himself, while the floppy peel lands on the floor.
