Where the name comes from

Karter is a fanciful variant of Carter.

Why this moment matters

Clapping games have been passed down for generations, and learning one on the porch with a grandparent is how they keep going.

The story behind this song

On the front porch steps Grandpa teaches Karter a clapping game - pat the knees, clap, tap the porch and tap the lap - in a quick little rhythm.
