Where the name comes from

Johnny is a pet form of John.

Why this moment matters

A first haircut is a milestone parents remember, and singing through it helps a toddler sit still in the big chair.

The story behind this song

Johnny climbs into the big red chair at the barber shop for a first haircut, with a stripy smock, snipping scissors and buzzing clippers.

A song for the first month

For the one-month celebration and the first haircut that often comes with it: a song to mark the end of the first month.
