Where the name comes from

Hayes has two suggested origins: an English surname for brushwood or an enclosure, or the Irish for 'descendant of Aodh'.

Why this moment matters

Pressing the bell on the bus is a small, real job that makes a toddler feel part of the journey.

The story behind this song

Hayes climbs aboard the city bus, finds a window seat, bounces along past the bridge and the trees, and presses the bell for the stop.
