Where the name comes from

Ashton comes from Old English and is usually read as 'ash tree settlement' - a place name that became a surname and later a first name.

Why this moment matters

Cracking an egg is a small, satisfying skill for little hands, and scrambled eggs forgive every wobbly whisk along the way.

The story behind this song

Ashton taps the eggs on the bowl, cracks them in, and whisks the yolks round and round before Mommy cooks them into breakfast in the pan.

A song to play on Mother's Day

Mama is right there in this song, which makes it a sweet Mother's Day song to play for her, or to give a new mom on her first Mother's Day.
