What stays on your device

Everything the app knows about your baby is created and kept on your phone, in the app's own storage:

• Your photos and videos. Moments reads your photo library to find your baby's pictures. It never uploads, copies to a server or shares a photo or video.
• Face data. To find your baby across months, the app detects faces and compares them using the phone's own on-device tools (Apple Vision on iPhone, Google ML Kit on Android, running locally). The face data it builds never leaves your device.
• Your baby's name and birth date, which the app uses for the age labels and to suggest songs.
• The videos you make, until you save or share them yourself.

What goes over the network

The app connects to the internet only for these things, and none of them carries your photos, face data, your baby's name or birth date:

• The song catalog: the list of Little Magic songs, downloaded from littlemagic.app.
• Songs: the audio of a song you choose, downloaded from our song server and kept on your phone so it plays offline afterwards.
• Purchases: buying or restoring the lifetime unlock goes through the App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check purchases; it receives an anonymous app user ID and the store's purchase record, never your name or your photos.
• Optional anonymous analytics: if you allow it, the app sends counts of how features are used (for example, that a video was exported). These carry no photos, face data, names or birth dates, and you can switch them off in Settings at any time.

Permissions

Photo library: needed to find your baby's photos. You can give full access, or limited access to the photos you pick; the app works with either and you can change it in your phone's settings.

Notifications: optional, for the monthly reminder on your baby's month-day. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.

Ordering a song

If you tap "Order a song", the Little Magic website opens in your browser. What you enter there is covered by the Little Magic website's privacy policy, at littlemagic.app/privacy.

Deleting your data

Settings, then "Delete all data", removes everything the app has stored: your baby's profile, the face data, the photo index and downloaded songs. Deleting the app does the same. Your photos themselves are never changed or deleted by Moments.

Because nothing about your baby is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. A purchase stays with your App Store or Google Play account, so you can restore it after reinstalling.

Children

Moments is made for parents and is not directed at children. The information about your child that the app uses stays on your device, as described above.
